Main Purpose: 

• To work under the guidance of teaching/senior staff and within an agreed system of supervision, to implement agreed work programmes with individuals/groups, in or out of the classroom. This could include those requiring detailed and specialist knowledge in particular areas and will involve assisting the teacher in the whole planning cycle and the management/preparation of resources. Staff may also supervise whole classes occasionally during the short-term absence of teachers.  The primary focus will be to maintain good order, to keep pupils on task and to have experience of working with children with behavioural needs.



You will have experience of:

• Setting high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils.

• Be committed, and able, to raise standards of children’s learning and attainment.

• Be able to support the learning and well-being of children with special educational needs.

• Have excellent strategies to ensure good behaviour management.

• Keep clear planning and assessment records and be able to feedback confidently about children’s progress.

• Be proactive, energetic, effective and flexible.

• Be an excellent play facilitator and playground supervisor.

• Making a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of a school.
