Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant, Level 1

Location: Great Coates Academy

Contract: Temporary: dependent on EHCP funding, 37 hours per week, Term Time +5 days

Salary Scale: HLT 1a, points 2-3 (£20,441 - £20,812FTE)

Pro-Rata Salary for this post: £17,406 - £17,721

Closing date: 9am, 8th June 2023

Interview date: week commencing 12th June 2023

We are looking to appoint a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, who will work at Great Coates Academy to support a child with special educational needs within our school. The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher, assisting the child with their work and supporting with pupil behaviour while establishing good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and responding to individual needs.

The post holder will:

● work closely with the class teacher to ensure the needs of the child are met;

● participate in the preparation of resources;

● Keep records as required by the school;

● Promote development and learning (physical, emotional, educational and social);

● Foster growth, self-esteem and independence, observe and record development.
