Grade 3  £18,933 – £20,092 per annum (£13,814 - £14,660 pro rata to hours and weeks worked) 

31.25 hours per week, working Monday to Friday 8.30am - 3.15pm (with half an hour unpaid break)  

Term Time only plus Teacher Training Days

Temporary, to start as soon as possible with an end date of 31 August 2022


We are looking to appoint a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to offer support to a high needs pupil as part of our friendly and hardworking Reception team. 


Our support staff team is integral to the school’s vision to ensure that all children achieve their full potential in all aspects of school life.  You would be part of our drive to achieve an outstanding quality of education for every child.


Our successful candidate will be a motivated professional who will inspire and enthuse our children and support them in making good progress in their learning and social/emotional development. Under the direction of teaching staff, you would work with designated pupils, small groups and 1:1 preparing resources, delivering high quality interventions, supporting individual reading and other curriculum support activities to enable the children to blossom and grow into confident, capable, independent and successful learners.


The post could suit an experienced Teaching Assistant, someone with an interest in students’ specific needs or someone looking to enter teaching, as the role would offer school based experience prior to applying for a PGCE/trainee teacher opportunity.


We are looking for someone who:

• Has a desire to further develop their skills

• Has excellent literacy and numeracy skills

• Can support in providing high quality childcare and education

• To promote high expectations and support pupil engagement with learning

• Support the classroom teacher with their responsibility for the development and education process.

• Will work in respectful partnership with parents/carers when supporting children in their learning and development

• Has a sound knowledge of behaviour management and SEND

• Is approachable and resilient
