The SABDEN Multi Academy Trust, based across East Sussex, is an aspirational and supportive Trust, aiming to create a warm, caring, stable, supportive environment in which all staff and pupils feel safe. We are three special schools, a secure unit, a large countywide alternative provision, a vocational free school and one of five teaching schools within East Sussex. We strive to discover success through learning, self-belief and achievement. Pupils are empowered to take responsibility through a personalised curriculum supported by secure systems.

We are looking for a dedicated practitioner to join our expanding service. We are committed to professional development and have strong induction, NQT and unqualified teacher programmes.

New Horizons is seeking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant/Practitioner who has ambitious standards and a clear sense of accountability. This is a rare opportunity to join the Key Stage 2 Support Team on the Beauchamp Road Site, which provides an outstanding service for pupils in the Hastings and surrounding area.

If successful, you will become part of a committed and hardworking team that continues to be ambitious in its drive to improve outcomes for our pupils. You will join a highly dedicated staff team and be part of a supportive working and learning environment, where your professional development is highly valued. While some experience of working with vulnerable young people is preferable it is not essential. We will provide you with high quality training and support.

The working pattern will be 8:50am-15:00pm, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

If you would like to have an informal discussion or visit the school, prior to submitting an application, please contact Carly Sargeant, Deputy Principal, via carly.sargeant@sabden.org.uk
