A vacancy has arisen for a Teaching Assistant to join our school.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and pro-active individual to join our friendly team, preferably with experience of working with primary aged children. This is initially a 1 year fixed term post and will provide excellent development opportunities for candidates looking for experience working in schools.

You will need to be enthusiastic about helping children learn and enjoy talking to children and developing a supportive relationship with them. GCSE or equivalent English and Maths are essential.

You will need to have integrity, be friendly and fair and follow our positive behaviour management policy so that children feel that they are respected and listened to. 

Applications are also welcome from graduates seeking to gain school experience before moving on to take PGCEs or other routes into the teaching profession. We have supported previous teaching assistants through the ‘schools direct’ placement for initial teacher training.
