Permanent - Term Time Only

Monday to Friday - 30 hours per week as follows:

TA2 at 25 hours per week

PLUS

Midday Supervisor responsibilities at 5 hours per week

39 weeks worked per year

46 (TA) & 44.65 (MSA) weeks paid per year

(FTE Grade 1/SSP2 £17,842 to Grade 3/SSP7 £18,562)

Pro-rata salary starting from £13,159 p.a.

College Central, based in Hastings, is seeking to recruit a Teaching Assistant (with midday supervisor responsibilities) into the Key Stage 3/4 (Hastings) departments to support various programmes for anxious and vulnerable pupils. 

The main responsibility of the post will be to support teachers in the delivery of the curriculum, both by directly working with pupils and assisting in preparation of resources.  We are looking for applicants who are innovative, enthusiastic and flexible and have a keen interest and knowledge of child development and an understanding of child protection procedures.  Applicants should also be able to demonstrate a sensitive and empathic approach to working with young pupils.

The working pattern is five days per week, Monday – Friday, from at least 8.30am –3.30pm. Working pattern to be discussed at interview and agreed on succesful appointment. We are a friendly and supportive team, with additional benefits, such as free daily lunch.
