College Central, based in Hastings, is seeking to recruit a Teaching Assistant (with midday supervisor responsibilities) into the Key Stage 3/4 (Hastings) departments to support various programmes for anxious and vulnerable pupils.
The main responsibility of the post will be to support teachers in the delivery of the curriculum, both by directly working with pupils and assisting in preparation of resources. We are looking for applicants who are innovative, enthusiastic and flexible and have a keen interest and knowledge of child development and an understanding of child protection procedures. Applicants should also be able to demonstrate a sensitive and empathic approach to working with young pupils.
The successful candidate will be joining a Trust and school that continues to be ambitious in its drive to improve outcomes for our pupils. The working pattern is five days per week, Monday – Friday, from at least 8.30am –3.30pm. Working pattern to be discussed at interview and agreed on succesful appointment. We are a friendly and supportive team, with additional benefits, such as free daily lunch.
