Stoke Damerel Community College, Plymouth are looking for a colleague in the SEN Support Base to work as an Apprentice Teaching Assistant.
The successful candidate will support the students’ learning needs and activities of all students and attend to any additional learning needs. You will also support trained staff to implement related personal programmes, including social, health, physical, hygiene, first aid and welfare matters and support students ensuring their safety and access to learning.
We are very keen to progress all staff members through the bespoke training opportunities we offer and can host superb professional development opportunities within the education sector. The Apprenticeship in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools includes a Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools.
It is essential that you have GCSE Grade C or equivalent in Mathematics and English and speak fluent English. Stoke Damerel Community College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
