Job overview

A Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) based in Boston that caters for students aged 11 – 16 are currently seeking to recruit a qualified Teaching Assistant to support students throughout their school day assisting them in the classroom and managing behaviour. A PRU provides education to pupils that have been excluded, are sick or unable to attend mainstream school for whatever reason.

The ideal Teaching Assistant will be confident, outgoing and committed, have a positive and calming influence in what can often be a difficult environment and previous experience within a similar setting would be preferred yet not essential as the main focus is to find the type of person that will have a positive influence.

The successful Teaching Assistant will be Level 3 qualified in Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools or equivalent, have the ability to build good relationships with others and having a qualification in Team Teach would be an advantage.
