We are currently seeking an experienced Secondary Teaching Assistant with an interest in working with SEN pupils at Oakwood School. Oakwood School is a specialist school for SEN pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. The school has recently had a very successful Ofsted Inspection. Therefore, we are looking to appoint a new colleague with high expectations and willingness to work flexibly within a team to ensure that Oakwood continues to offer a high quality learning environment to our pupils. A background in classroom support and evidence of the ability to manage challenging behaviour are essential alongside high expectations and strong personal and professional boundaries. If you have enthusiasm, commitment and a desire to work with some of the most vulnerable and challenging young people in our community, we would welcome your application. High aspirations and a relentless approach towards excellence are the key skills we are seeking. Our expectations of learning and behaviour are extremely high and we would therefore welcome colleagues who would embrace and adopt aspirational goals for our pupils. A background in special education is not required.
