The Harris Academy Falconwood opened in September 2008. The academy’s specialisms are Enterprise and Sport with a ‘can-do’ ethos of always improving upon your personal best. Our accommodation from September 2011 has been a new, purpose-built academy to the value of £25 million.
We are looking for a full-time, term time only Teaching Assistant to support students with special needs, usually in the classroom.
What we are looking for:
- A successful teaching assistant who is able to raise and sustain high standards;
- An innovative and creative practitioner with a drive and passion to ensure all students achieve;
- Enthusiasm for working with a range of students with differing needs and abilities;
- Someone who will show initiative and a keenness to be involved in all aspects of the academy life;
- A teaching assistant who is able to enthuse and inspire students;
- A proven track record of good working relationships and professionalism;
- Confidence in working independently with small groups of students

Harris Academy Falconwood is an 11-18 co-educational academy for 1,100 students. The academy opened in September 2008 on the site of the predecessor school. Harris Falconwood benefits from a brand new, state of the art £25 million building offering the very latest facilities and equipment. Ofsted judged the academy to be Outstanding at both its inspections in 2011 and 2014.
