We are committed to providing our pupils with the very best educational opportunities, by having the very highest expectations of ourselves as a staff team. We are now seeking three dynamic and resilient individuals to join our fantastic team at Castledown Primary as a Teaching Assistant.
We are looking for 1 Teaching Assistant to work 18.75 hours per week and 2 Teaching Assistants to work 30 hours per week each.
We require someone who is ready to make a real impact in transforming pupils’ lives.
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Teaching Assistant on a part time permanent basis. This role will involve helping to implement work programmes for groups of children, assisting in planning and the management/preparation of resources, which could include some specialist knowledge in particular areas. The successful applicant will also provide cover for whole classes under a system of supervision for 30% of the employed time throughout the school year. The successful candidates will:
- have experience of working with primary aged children
- have good literacy and mathematical skills
- be hard working and adaptable to change
- ideally have a secure understanding and knowledge of observing children’s learning

Ark Blacklands Primary Academy joined the Ark network in 2014, we are a 3 form entry school, increasing to 90 pupils in each year group, ranging from Early Years and Foundation Stage through to Year 6.

Curriculum
A strong command of English and maths is vital for success across the whole curriculum. We prioritise these subjects and dedicate extra time to them so that pupils are confident and have the strong foundations they need to succeed.
