TEACHING ASSISTANT

Permanent term time only + 2 Inset days 29.2 hours a week

Actual salary £11,727 per annum

Cornwall Education Learning Trust (CELT) is seeking to appoint an amazing and multi-talented teaching assistant to join the team at Pondhu school. The right applicant will have a positive approach to supporting social inclusion in a proactive and a nurturing way. If you are that person we would love to hear from you. The position would entail working with pupils and teachers to support individuals, groups and classes as directed by the class teacher and senior leadership team. 

We are looking for individuals who can demonstrate:

• relevant experience of working with primary school pupils, including those with additional needs

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification or experience

• At least Maths and English GCSEs or equivalent at grade C or above

• the ability to work supportively with parents to meet the needs of pupils

• excellent communication skills – both verbal and written

• a competent working knowledge of safeguarding procedures and Keeping Children Safe in Education 2021

• a creative positive and flexible approach to problem solving

• a positive outlook

• an ability to deliver structured learning programs as directed

• Read, Write Inc. experience desirable
