Contract type: Permanent. Term time -37 weeks.  Full time posts 36 hours a week, part time post 21 hours.

Teaching Assistants

Polam Hall School wishes to appoint enthusiastic and experienced Teaching Assistants who will work under the direction of a qualified teacher, to:

 • support the delivery of learning for each pupil to enable them to reach their potential working with individual pupils or small groups or within a  whole class setting to support the delivery of high standards of teaching and learning and pupil progress

• actively uphold the values and ethos of the school in all interactions with pupils, and to model the behaviours expected of pupils.

•  be proactive in managing pupil behaviour and supervise pupils at lunch and break times as required

A Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning is required.

Primary Phase1 full time, Ref (TAPFT) and 1 part time post, Ref (TAPPT)

Secondary phase1 full time post, Ref (TASFT)

Polam Hall School is a 4-19 co-educational day and boarding school which converted to Free School Status in September 2015. It is now part of Woodard Academies Trust and forms part of the Trust’s Northern Hub. The Trust is working effectively with Polam Hall School to prepare the school for its first OFSTED, expected in 2017/18.

This is a very exciting time at Polam Hall. The school has grown to its current 700 pupils over the last two years and will continue to expand until it reaches a roll of around 880.

At Polam Hall we aim to build creativity, confidence and compassion in our young people. The vision of the School moving forward is to retain a focus on the individual, on providing opportunities and the holistic development of each child.

Polam Hall School is a 4 – 16 all-through academy and is part of Woodard Academies Trust. We have 790 pupils on roll, with one and a half forms of entry in our Primary Phase and four forms in our Secondary Phase.
