The role

The successful Early Years Foundation Stage Teaching Assistant will be capable of supporting children from the age of 2 Years old. 

• Have excellent communication skills, with a willingness to provide support across EYFS by developing eye contact, attention and listening and speech development. 

• Interact meaningfully through play indoors and outdoors. 

• Know a variety of songs and rhymes. 

• Ability to read stories with enthusiasm, which engages children. 

• Provide a secure, safe and happy environment where children can learn through play. 

• Support children’s behaviour with positive interactions. 

• Observe, monitor and report on learning and development. 

• Plan, develop and maintain displays.

Requirements

To be considered for Teaching Assistant (TA) positions, you must:

• Minimum of Level 2 qualification in a relevant subject or recent Early Years or Primary experience 

• Have experience supporting children with Early Years Foundation Stage children of all abilities.

• SEN experience desirable 

• Be flexible and creative when supporting teaching.

• Be able to work between the hours of 8:30 until 15:30 Mon-Fri
