Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join us as a classroom-based teaching assistant undertaking learning support duties and assisting the class teacher in the day to day needs of our students. You will also support with the delivery of the curriculum and respond to the students’ needs enabling them to make rapid progress and develop their full potential. If you are adept at establishing positive relationships and have high expectations of yourself and others, we would love to hear from you. The successful candidate will be innovative, enthusiastic and flexible with strong communication and organisational skills and will be well supported by a large, busy and friendly team.

 

Previous knowledge or interest/experience in working with children would be particularly useful, although most experience is gained on the job. Applications are particularly welcome from graduates or those with successful experience of further / higher education who are interested in a longer-term career in teaching.

History and Vision

Ratton School transitioned into a converter academy in August 2012 and later merged with Ocklynge Junior School in December 2017 to establish the South Downs Learning Trust. The primary objective of our trust is to deliver an outstanding educational experience while preserving the individual identity of each school, fostering collaboration to enhance the learning environment for all learners.
