Teaching Assistant (Elementary School)

to join us in December 2021, initially on a full-time fixed-term contract until June 2022.

Candidates with experience in Inclusion and Special Education Needs will be preferred.

Candidates should be well-qualified, committed to high standards, interested in using innovative approaches to teaching and learning and enthusiastic about promoting international understanding.

The position

We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work within our Elementary School which offers the IB Primary Years Programme. We are looking for educators who show a high level of initiative, flexibility, creativity, organisational skills and, above all, a commitment to learning through inquiry and student wellbeing.

Initially, the appointment will be a full-time fixed-term contract from December 2021 until June 2022, with the possibility of extension beyond this should there be mutual interest. 

Our school is made up of a strong team of professionals who have built a uniquely collaborative environment. As such, we expect our new colleague to be committed to such an approach.

Essential characteristics

• to have had recent experience in the education of children aged 6-8 in a formal setting;

• to be interested in pursuing - or have already begun - a path towards teacher qualification;

• to be proficient in English;

• to be an EU passport holder or already be in possession of a valid visa that enables to work in Italy.
