Aylward Academy is part of London Academies Enterprise Trust (LAET). Our objective is to provide all students with a first class education. Why? Because we believe that a solid education is vital in today’s world. We recognise that every student has different needs and that it’s our job to meet them. We not only educate students about life, we prepare them for life. Whatever a student’s ambition, we will give them the best possible start.

The ideal candidates will have had previous experience of working in a secondary school. You will require a student-centred approach, good initiative and be able to work well both within a team and independently.
We are an inclusive Academy where all staff make reasonable adjustments to ensure students are able to access the curriculum and make their expected progress. We currently have 20 students with EHCPs.
A large number of students on our SEN register have needs around Speech, Language and Communication. We also have a number of students with SEMH and moderate difficulties around Cognition and Learning.
We promote high incidence, SEN friendly classrooms where staff have consistent routines to ensure that students feel safe and secure in their learning environment. Our Nurture provision is tailored for Y7 and 8 pupils to ensure they make rapid progress prior to joining mainstream classes. We run a number of high quality provisions including RML, Project, Talkabout, Catch Up Numeracy and Lego Therapy to name a few.
We place strong emphasis on professional development and believe a culture of shared leadership teamed with an unwavering passion for teaching and learning are at the heart of what we do.
As the sponsor, AET believes that all young people deserve to become world-class learners – to learn, enjoy, succeed and thrive in a first rate educational environment with the best facilities, the best teaching and the most up-to-date resources available to them. In each of our academies, you will benefit from visionary, inspirational and dynamic leadership and be empowered to develop your own skills with access to world-class CPD and Talent Management programmes.
