Sherfield School is seeking a Learning Support Teaching Assistant. The Teaching Assistant will work across the Senior School, working to support teachers in the classroom with either small groups of children or individuals.   The Teaching assistant will also be required to teach individuals or small groups to support mild SEN within the mainstream context of the school.  Responsibilities include liaising with teachers, planning support and learning activities and fostering an environment which encourages the development of each child.  

This will include some administrative tasks, report writing and attendance to parents evenings. 

The ideal candidate will have good Literacy, Numeracy oral and ICT communication skills; good inter-personal skills; excellent organisational skills; have high levels of enthusiasm, motivation and commitment.     

The role is for 5 days/week, term time only with an opportunity to contribute to after school clubs.
