Teaching Assistant Required 

We are seeking to appoint a teaching assistant to help teachers in a range of duties and to support the educational needs of identified pupils in the classroom, with a particular emphasis on literacy and mathematics. Experience of working with pupils with SEND would be desirable. 

We are looking for someone who:  

has good literacy and numeracy skills;  

has high levels of enthusiasm and commitment to helping pupils succeed;  

has good organisational and communication skills; 

is a good team player;  

will be committed to the school and will contribute to all aspects of school life.

Rokesly Junior School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational junior school in Haringey, North London. There are approximately 360 pupils attending the school, between the ages of 7-11.    

Rokesly Junior School has been open for over 50 years, and 37 languages are represented in the school.

“Pupils attain well in a range of subjects. In particular, pupils produce high-quality art work using a range of skills such as knitting, weaving, collage, painting and modelling. In computing, Year 6 pupils are especially skilled at creating their own programs, for example to run animations. The school ensures that all groups achieve equally well over time. Provision for disabled pupils and those who have special educational is good and helps them to acquire new skills quickly and achieve well”.
