We are looking to recruit a dynamic, forward thinking and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant.

Your opportunity

You will predominantly be working with groups of children under the direction of the class teacher, with occasional basic administrative tasks. In line with the Government’s announcement, our academy is closed until further notice. However, during this period it is our intention to continue with critical recruitment for key positions starting in September 2020. In place of academy interviews, alternative options will be offered so that no one is at a disadvantage, and applicants should expect telephone or virtual interviews, with the possibility of onsite academy interviews only in special cases. We want to reassure applicants that effective measures have been implemented to ensure their health and wellbeing whilst on academy premises.

Harris Primary Academy Philip Lane opened in September 2012. We have  460 very happy, hard-working and enthusiastic children who are being prepared for happy and successful lives, now and in the future. In June 2014 Harris Primary  Academy was rated as a good school with outstanding leadership and management. We are a successful two form entry primary with part-time nursery located in North London. Harris Primary Academy Philip Lane is a two form entry Primary with part time Nursery located in North London, which opened in September 2012 in the heart of Tottenham. We are a happy, caring and supportive Academy that is raising standards and expectations.

In work and in play, Harris primary students are encouraged towards traditional values: good manners and behaviour, enthusiasm for learning, and recognising right from wrong. Our aim is that, whatever a child’s background or starting point, by the time they move on to secondary school from the Academy they will have developed the academic skills, social skills, confidence and drive that they need in order to succeed.
