Job overview

We currently have a vacancy at Whitmore for a Teaching Assistant to support students across the curriculum, years 7-11, with a wide range of special educational needs. These include ASD, social and emotional and behavioural difficulties, physical and learning difficulties.

The position would be particularly suitable for students taking a gap year following their Year 13 studies, graduates looking to gain experience of working in the education environment before pursuing a career working with young people or people with a knowledge and understanding of our local community.

Whitmore High School is a mixed, non-denominational community comprehensive secondary school and sixth form for pupils aged 11-18. It is located in the London Borough of Harrow, and is operated by the local council.

Whitmore was founded in 1974, and has about 1,600 pupils.
