Moorcroft is a school for Secondary age young people with Severe, Complex and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, and ASD. We provide a high quality education for all of our students and have recently been judged as “Outstanding” by Ofsted.

As a teaching assistant you will be supporting a teacher by working with pupils individually and in small groups. There will be opportunities to contribute to cross-school teams both in school and throughout the Academy. There is a wealth of expertise in the Academy with opportunities for training and professional development.

We currently have several permanent positions available. We are looking for enthusiastic and hardworking people, with a passion for young people with Learning Difficulties, to join our team of Teaching Assistants. We are particularly looking for candidates seeking a challenge by working with young people with challenging behaviour or graduates looking for a teaching career in special education sometime in the future.

Moorcroft has recently launched an initiative for graduate teaching assistants where you can gain experience of leading a class before applying for a recognised teacher training course.
