TEACHING ASSISTANT : 2 year minimum contract, 27.5 hours per week, term time only 

Scale LBR3 Point 5-6, pro rata of £21,591 to £21,981 fte per annum

(27.5 hr contract for 44.46 week per year equates to £14,101.62 per annum).

We are seeking a suitably qualified, enthusiastic and motivated individual who is looking for an opportunity to develop their skills and experience working within an outstanding Inclusion Department in order to pursue a career in education. A willingness  to  support students who have Sensory and Physical impairments and a commitment to learn Braille is necessary, along with a genuine desire to make a difference to the lives of young people. Please note that, owing to the nature of the training required to fulfil this role, successful candidates will be expected to commit to a two year contract in the first instance.

The successful candidate will have:

  • The ability and willingness to understand the needs of students from different social backgrounds,sensory impairments and special educational needs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication. 
  • The ability to form and maintain appropriate professional relationships and boundaries with young people and adults.  
  • Good organisational and time management skills. 
  • The ability to work constructively as part of a team
  • Good ICT skills to support learning.
  • The ability and willingness to learn new skills. With a commitment to personal career development.

Location: The school is centrally located in the London Borough of Redbridge, which is a very high achieving borough. There are excellent transport links to central and outer London, with Newbury Park station (zone 4 on the Central Line) only a four minute walk away.
