Teaching Assistant - Northampton

Working Hours; 08:30 - 17:00 (£85 - £90 a day, £70 - £75 a day for standard school hours)

We are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work in a Secondary Pupil Referral Unit in Northampton. We are working exclusively with a new Pupil Referral Unit in Northampton and we are eager to offer Teachers and support staff exciting opportunities to work within alternative education. 

As this is a Pupil Referral Unit, the pupils in this school will have been permanently excluded from Mainstream School and may exhibit fairly challenging behaviour. A higher proportion of Students will also have Special Educational Needs and may be on Education Health care plans. Therefore we are looking for Teaching Assistants who not only have great experience with both challenging behaviour and working with pupils with SEN, but also those with the ability to inspire children and improve engagement!

This position is on a temporary basis (either a fixed term position or on more of a AD HOC day to day basis) with the strong possibility of becoming a permanent position. 


To be considered for the Teacher Assistant position, you will:

- Be experienced in working with smaller nurture groups to boost attainment.

- Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff.

- Strong behaviour management.

- Ideally, have experience working with SEND children
