Teaching Assistant - 31 hours per week

Teaching Assistant – 20 hours per week

We are looking for two enthusiastic and lively teaching assistants to work with pupils who have physical and communication difficulties. The roles involve support in the classroom and a high level of physical work and personal care of pupils. The 20 hour post will have a focus on lunchtime support.

Previous experience is not essential as full training will be given. We have purpose designed buildings co-located with mainstream settings.

All candidates must have English and Maths GCSE Grade C or equivalent. Successful short listed candidates will be asked to provide proof of these qualifications at interview. Welcome to Richard Cloudesley School.

We are a happy and successful school for children and young people who are physically disabled.

We value education and promote a love of learning of life. In our school you will see many examples of high quality work and excellent teaching. The love that we have for the children is evident in the way that we care for their personal needs and provide a high quality education.

Our primary department is situated in new buildings in the Golden Lane Campus which is just a few minutes walk away. The new premises will be alongside our local primary school - Prior Weston School and Children's Centre.

In September 2011 the secondary department will be moving to share a campus with the City of London Academy Islington, near the Angel tube station. Richard Cloudesley School will be one school on two sites with significantly improved buildings and services. The pupils will live the benefit of special school facilities and access to classrooms and areas used by mainstream pupils.
