Smart Teachers is recruiting for a Teaching Assistant / TA to join a prestigious independent school in Islington. The school boasts small class sizes, a beautifully refurbished Victorian building and back-to-back ‘Outstanding’ OFSTED reports. This is an incredibly supportive environment in which to work with a great CPD programme in place for staff. The successful Teaching Assistant / TA will be working part time (mornings only, 5 days a week) starting January 2019, with the option to go permanent from Easter 2019. This is a unique opportunity not to be missed.

In order to be considered for this role, the Teaching Assistant / TA will need to meet the following criteria:

· Proven and recent UK based classroom based experience (minimum 6 weeks)

· Have strong communication, literacy and numeracy skills

· Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)

· Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police checks
