Job overview

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, experienced and innovative Teaching Assistant to work within upper KS2.  The ideal candidate should have some experience of working with pupils working towards their 11+ examinations and preparing them for their transition to their next educational experience. 

The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the teaching and learning process, helping to create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive.

This is a permanent, full time role commencing in September 2025. 

Skills and Qualifications:

- At least 2 years of experience working as a Teaching Assistant or teacher in a primary school setting
- Previous experience of working with year 6 pupils preparing for their 11+ would be advantageous
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents
- Proficient in assisting with lesson planning, classroom management, and student assessment
- Knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and experience implementing educational activities
