Teaching Assistant (L2)

We are a large primary school, which is part of the Lingfield Education Trust (currently comprising 5 schools in Darlington). We are looking for 3 teaching assistants to work with children with high levels of special needs, and provide general classroom support.

Salary: £15,036 - £16,489 per annum
Benefits & Grade: Grade L
Contract Details: 3 posts. Term Time Only plus 5 Days (46.8 weeks). Fixed Term Contract till 31st August 2018, commencing September 2017
Contract Hours: 30 hours per week

We are looking for people who:

• Have high expectations of children's learning and behavior
• Are good team members
• Can work well both under direction and on their own initiative

The positions are for 30 hours per week, term time only plus 5 days, on a temporary contract, linked to the EHC (Education and Health Care plan) funding of the pupils. Applicants will be required to support with the personal care of pupils and the administration of medications. Appropriate training will be provided for this.

The post will be based in Heathfield Primary School, however the Trust reserves the right to require you to work at such other schools in the Trust depending on the needs of the business.

Visits to the school are welcomed and encouraged.
