“St Mary’s provides an outstanding education for all its pupils” OFSTED

St Mary’s is an outstanding two form entry Catholic primary school in the centre of Wimbledon. We are looking for highly motivated, innovative and hardworking staff to join our dedicated and successful team from September 2017. We have a number of posts available, both for class based teaching assistants and 1:1 learning support assistants.

Status:       Either Teaching Assistant (TA) or 1:1 Learning Support Assistant (LSA)  Responsibility:       Working with pupils in Early Years, KS1 or KS2

Pay Scale Point: ME4 Point 11

Work Hours:        30 hrs per week. 8:30 – 3:30 daily. Term time only

Annual Salary: Starting at £17,935 pro rata  (This equates to approx. £13217 gross per annum based on working 30 hours per week during term time only)

The successful candidate would ideally have experience of working in a primary school.  They will be expected to play an important role in improving the achievement of pupils. They may, on occasion, also be asked to provide cover for midday meal supervisors.  Knowledge of first aid, though not essential, would be beneficial.

We offer:

• Children who are eager to learn and exceptionally well behaved

• Supportive and welcoming colleagues across the school

• A well-resourced school

• Ongoing commitment to staff wellbeing and continuing professional development

• A wonderfully strong community where home, school and parish work hand in hand to live out the school mission statement ‘to be the best that we can be’.

Closing date: Thursday 22nd June 12noon

Interviews: Date TBC

Applicants should indicate in a covering letter if they would prefer a TA or 1:1 LSA role or have no preference.

We are committed to safeguarding children and these posts are subject to an enhanced CRB check and satisfactory references.

Please email Mrs Rhule on with any queries.
