Wybers Wood Academy are looking to appoint a Level 1 Teaching Assistant to join our Academy in January 2020.  You will work under the direct instruction of teacher/support staff, usually in a classroom with the teacher, to support access to learning for pupils and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.

Hours: 30 per week / Temporary until 31.8.20 / term time only (38 weeks)

Salary: Grade C points 4 – 6 (£18,426 - £19,171 full time equivalent) pro-rata (£9.55 - £9.94 per hour)

Wybers Wood is a large primary with just over 400 pupils (aged from 4 to 11) on roll where excellent attainment and progress for pupils are consistently maintained.  We take great pride in creating a warm and friendly environment and a positive culture for learning so that our children are given opportunities to excel.  We place great emphasis on the social and emotional development of our pupils, alongside the encouragement of a love for learning so they can achieve their full potential academically. 

Wybers Wood is proud to hold the Gold Sportsmark and a Silver Artsmark.  Our pupils excel in sports and are confident and articulate performers as a result of our broad curriculum which has a strong emphasis on health, oracy and confidence.
