The Grange School is a special school located in Levenshulme, Manchester which provides 247 day places for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans, who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). Grange offers a bespoke education for a wide range of pupils between EYFS and KS5 through the provision of a carefully planned and stimulating environment where the pupils can explore, investigate and learn. The bespoke Know and Remember Curriculum has been devised to ensure pupils have access to all the statutory content from the National Curriculum, delivered through engaging and challenging classroom activities. Pupils are set targets each term and progress is measured throughout the school year using our bespoke pupil data system.

Grange School offers some of the most exciting and engaging curriculum enrichment activities to support the pupil’s learning. We have an on-site farm with alpacas, pigs and ducks, alongside guinea pigs, rabbits, tortoises and a gecko. An enhanced learning area called the Know Globes supports the delivery of the Remember More Curriculum, and a full-size role play area known as Imagination Village enables pupils to practise real-world skills such as using money, work in our on-site post office and mail delivery service or experience several other real-world settings, including a grocer’s, a doctor’s surgery, a vet’s, a bakery and a mechanics garage.

KS4 and KS5 have a curriculum designed around the world of work and offer accredited courses in English, maths and PSHE in KS4, along with a range of qualifications as they move into KS5 – including Active Sports and Leisure, Catering and Hospitality and Construction, to name but a few.

Grange was graded 'Outstanding' in all areas following the Ofsted inspection in 2023,

"Pupils at all stages in their school life blossom, both socially and academically. This helps pupils to have a strong sense of belonging and they feel part of the school community." Ofsted 2023
