Job overview

The Wythenshawe Catholic Academy Trust wishes to appoint a Teaching Assistant at Saint Paul’s Catholic High School  to support access to learning and provide general support for the school in the management of students and resources.   

The successful candidate will: 

• Work with groups of students under the supervision of the teacher including the delivery of therapy and programmes of work and the implementation of ILPs

• Assist the teacher to ensure a safe classroom and outdoor environment

• Assist with the supervision groups and whole classes for sessions and lessons as required

St Paul’s is a mixed, comprehensive, Roman Catholic secondary school situated in Newall Green, Manchester. Operating under the Diocese of Shrewsbury, St Paul’s is part of the multi-academy Wythenshawe Catholic Academy Trust (WCAT), which also supports three local schools at primary level. Slightly smaller than the average secondary school, it will provide 900 places for pupils aged 11-16, when fully subscribed.

The school reopened as an academy in March 2013.
