Job overview
The School wishes to appoint a Teaching Assistant with experience of working with students with special needs, including those with Educational Healthcare Plans and with their families and supporting agencies. The role focuses on helping to support learning through developing positive behaviour and social skills. The successful applicant will potentially work across a range of resource provisions, liaising with teachers, parents and therapists to support the children. We seek an outstanding and caring professional who can:
• Assist with classroom instruction and provide support and guidance to students
• Maintain a supportive, safe and positive classroom environment
• Supervise students during non-classroom time and providing examination access support
• Work closely with the SENCO and Level 4 Teaching Assistant to identify issues students are having and develop appropriate solutions
• Attend key relevant meetings and training sessions
