Teaching Assistant – Level 2

Level 2 - 30 hours per week, fixed term – 1 year

Salary Scale 2 14-17 (£17,681-£18,672 FTE – Term-time only)

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic teaching assistant to join our committed, professional and friendly team. The successful candidate will, in the first instance, be working as part of a team supporting children in KS1.  We would be particularly interested in hearing from applicants with either understanding of or experience in supporting children with special educational needs.

Applicants should

· have a good rapport with children and be able to engage them in learning

· be able to work flexibly as part of a team with drive and passion to ensure that    all children achieve

· be willing and able to share good practice and learn from others

We would be particularly interested in hearing from applicants who:

· have experience working with children in KS1

. have experience of working with children with social, behavioural and  emotional needs

· are Elklan trained. 

These experiences would be desirable although not essential. We offer opportunities for continuing your professional development.
