In July 2016 Ecton Village Primary Academy became part of the Hatton Academies Trust. Hatton Academies Trust is a family of Wellingborough schools collaborating in all aspects of teaching, learning and school management.

Our mission statement at Ecton Village Primary Academy is:

Together, Educating, Achieving, Motivating

All members of staff share this aim and work together to support all pupils in our care.

Ecton Village Primary Academy is led by Kate Cleaver (Principal) and, like other small schools, all members of staff are key players in the delivery of high quality education for the children. Ecton Village Primary Academy and its staff also receive further support and challenge from the Academies Trust.

The Academy is organised into four mixed age classes: EYFS; Year 1 and Year 2; Year 3 and Year 4 and Year 5 and Year 6. Across the Academy there are approximately 20 members of staff. All members of staff are valued members of the team working both inside and outside the classrooms to ensure the very best education for all our pupils.

We have a traditional Victorian school building which has been extended over recent years to accommodate the growing number of children.

The school day begins at 8.50, but we operate a breakfast club from 8.00 am. The school day ends at 3.30, but many children choose to stay and join in with a number of after school clubs which run until 4.30.

Our inclusion team is highly skilled, they support learning in the classroom and plan interventions to ensure good progress of all children. Children are expected to behave in an appropriate manner during all activities.  We pride ourselves in having a community of polite and well-behaved children and follow a positive behaviour policy to ensure this.

Our Academy Values of Co-operation, Engagement, Resilience and Kindness underpin everything we do to ensure all pupils recognise the importance of their behaviour towards themselves and others.

While the Academy is located in an idyllic Northamptonshire village, we draw a wide range of children from differing social and cultural backgrounds.

Typically around 20% of pupils have special educational needs. They are supported for a wide range of needs including learning, SEMH, ASD, visual impairments and social skills.

Successful applicants will be part of a diverse community and work alongside a small but supportive team of professionals. The challenges and opportunities we can provide will enable you to develop professionally and personally
