Due to the continuing growth of this highly successful school, we are looking for a Level 2 teaching assistants who is passionate about working in a Special Needs setting, will inspire pupils to learn, has outstanding communication skills, be innovative and dynamic, understand the importance of teamwork, is committed to excellence, has the vision, skills and energy to provide the best opportunity for every child within our school and has specific skills in working with young people with challenging behaviour or medical needs.

Brentwood School is a Secondary School and College located in Trafford, Greater Manchester. The school provides places to around 100 pupils aged 11-18 in a co-educational setting, 30 of whom reside in the school sixth form, and all of whom have a Statement of Special Educational Need. The school caters for a wide range of learning difficulties and challenging behaviours, and offers provision for further education for some students aged 19-24 in the College. At Brentwood we acknowledge that every student has different strengths and weaknesses, interests and experiences and therefore the curriculum is adapted and differentiated to meet individual needs and circumstances. The curriculum is designed to be broad, balanced and relevant and includes the teaching of functional skills in every subject area. Our aim is to equip each student with the essential skills that they will need for the future whilst ensuring their well-being.
