Grade 3, point 8-11 (actual salary £13330.70 - £14147.10)

Fixed term contract linked to an individual student’s EHCP funding whilst they are in our school and require specialist support. To start September 2022 or asap.

27.5 hours per week, term time

We require as soon as possible an inspirational, ambitious and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated SEN team to work across the curriculum to support students with varying needs. They will need to support an individual student who has an EHCP funded for as long as they require specialist support and is enrolled at our school.

The successful candidate, under the direction and guidance of the class teacher will support the teaching and learning activities in the classroom, by working with individuals or small groups of pupils/students and may be responsible for some learning activities within the overall teaching plan at Great Wyrley Academy in line with the vision and values of Windsor Academy Trust. They will need to take a proactive role in the support of the educational, social and physical needs of students; to support the curriculum and the School through the provision of a level of assistance in the practical organisation of class activities, undertaking group work and ensuring the welfare and development of students.

Candidates must have the following:-

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a related area.
  • Experience of working with relevant age groups within a learning environment, including knowledge of behavioural and learning difficulties.
  • Very good numeracy and literacy skills.
