Full Time Teaching Assistants
32.50 hours a week pro-rata (range of scale 3 pt 14-17 depending on experience).
Term time only, 39 weeks a year. Actual Salary range: £16,506.00 - £17,202.00
The Viridis Federation of Orchard, Southwold and Hoxton Garden Primary schools are looking to recruit enthusiastic and committed full time Teaching Assistants. Staff are based on one school site within our three school partnership located in Hackney, East London.
You will be required to work flexibly taking direction from the class teacher and members of the Senior Leadership Team, ensuring the well-being and academic progress of our pupils.
Duties will include:
· Targeted group support for identified children aged 3-11 years.
· 1:1 support for some children with particular needs from time to time
· Whole class support of the class teacher when requested
· Lunch and play time duties
· General classroom support as directed with the possibility of additional paid hours as a play leader for applicants with the interest and suitable experience.
Candidates have a professional outlook and should be able to use their own initiative, be numerate and have a good standard of spoken and written English. Candidates with previous experience of working with children would be at an advantage. There will also be occasional opportunities for supporting after school clubs and other extracurricular activities (overtime).
