Job overview

Woodlane is an 11-16 years community special school. The school encourages a supportive and positive learning ethos that enables both staff and pupils to work and learn together to develop their full potential. The school caters for students with learning difficulties and complex needs, providing the highest possible standards of education and support to children, families and staff.

Pupils at Woodlane have a range of barriers to learning, including autism, speech, language and communication difficulties, physical disabilities and sensory impairment.

The job is an exciting opportunity for you to make a difference to children’s lives and to develop your own skills and expertise.

If you have lots of enthusiasm, a commitment to helping children to learn and have a real interest in supporting pupils in achieving their potential, why not consider joining our team?

Woodlane High School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. Staff and governors are committed to the safeguarding and child protection of our children. An enhanced DBS disclosure will therefore be required for successful candidates, along with permission for the school to have access to the on-line checking service. We will also require verified references, photographic identification and any necessary overseas eligibility to work in the UK.
