We currently have the following vacancy at within Longspee Academy, based at Longspee Secondary – BH10 4HG (Slades Farm)

Longspee Secondary is a relatively new Specialist Provision for young people with Autism and SEMH. We offer a rich and high-quality learning experience for our students, with a relentless and positive focus upon Happy, Safe, Progress to help ensure that our students can build and achieve a successful adult life. Currently, almost all of our current students having their main need in the area of Autism.

To happily thrive in the role of Teaching Assistant you will be resourceful and creative, highly resilient and able to work well as a member of a high-quality team. You will also be able to relate well with others, demonstrate highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, and have a good sense of positive humour. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate an understanding that success at Longspee Secondary is achieved by developing the excellence and independence of others, with a mindset of growth, consistency and excellence.

We offer our students a wide and varied curriculum experience, both within the school grounds and also the local area; so if you have skills, interests, or an area of knowledge that inspires you, then we’d love to work with your enthusiasm to inspire the learning of others.

This is not anticipated to be frequent or indeed regular but you should be aware of this possibility.
