Teaching Assistant

SEN TA Level 2 Grade 3 (£15,823 pro rata)

One Year Fixed term, term time only plus one week. 

Start: As soon as possible

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, hardworking and reliable individual to this post, working alongside teachers supporting pupils with special educational /additional needs. 

The successful candidate will work as part of a dynamic team to support pupils in making excellent progress and ensuring teaching staff are best equipped to meet the needs of pupils with special educational / additional needs.

Duties include:

• Supervising and providing particular support for pupils with special/additional needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.

• Assisting with the development and implementation of personalised programmes of work for learning and / or behaviour.

• Establishing constructive relationships with pupils and interacting with them according to individual needs.

• Promoting the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils

• Encouraging pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher 

• Setting challenging and demanding expectations and promoting self-esteem and independence
