Notting Hill Prep is a popular, co-educational school in the heart of Notting Hill with a staff of highly committed and passionate teachers. We are seeking to recruit a full-time Teaching Assistant to cover maternity leave from February. The role will suit someone with previous experience in the classroom, although we will also consider those with no formal teaching experience who may be considering a career in Early Years or Primary Education.
The position will include supporting the class teacher within curriculum lessons, reading support, helping to develop pupils’ social skills and organising teaching resources.

This role will involve contact with and responsibility for children and will amount to ‘regulated activity’.
The salary will be competitive, depending on experience. Free school lunches are provided.
The role is initially for a fixed term until December 2023 to cover staff maternity leave but could be extended into the spring term 2024.

Notting Hill Preparatory School is a mixed, non-denominational independent primary school in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, serving students from the age of 4-13. The primary school, situated in Notting Hill has approximately 435 students on record.
Notting Hill Preparatory School opened in 2003, set up through the collaboration of parents and teachers. The school opened new buildings in 2009 and 2018, with facilities including a computer suite and specialist art, music and science rooms.
