Job overview

Sutherland House School is a specialist non-maintained day school for children and young autistic people. We make provision for up to 94 pupils / students between the ages of 3 and 19. The school enjoys a city centre position based on Bath Street in Nottingham which means access to good public transport and access for staff and students to a great range of local facilities.

Salary – Qualified – FTE £18,487 per annum (pro rata £15,500.64); Unqualified – FTE £17,709 per annum (pro rata £14,848.32)

Hours – 37 hours per week (term time only)

An overall objective at the school is to provide the highest quality specialist education, addressing the specific needs of autism as well as the individuality of each pupil / student and their family.

Due to increasing student numbers we are recruiting for Teaching Assistants. We require enthusiastic individuals who are versatile and experienced in the development of children and young people in an educational setting.

The successful applicants will preferably need to hold a level 3 TA qualification relevant to the role, however this is not essential. In return, we offer a supportive team environment and good opportunities in training for continued professional development.
