Vision for Education is seeking to employ a Teaching Assistant to join our successful supply teaching team to work within a specialist school in the Durham local authority. This school caters for children and young people who have moderate to severe learning difficulties.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.
The role
Working as part of an energetic and creative team, the successful Teaching Assistant will focus on delivering support across the school, working 08:30 – 15:30 Monday to Friday.
It is preferred that the successful candidate has a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification however, the school may consider those who have extensive experience as a Teaching Assistant within a SEND school or alternative provision.
Requirements
To be considered for the Teaching Assistant position, you must:
- Have experience supporting young people with moderate learning dificulties.
- Have experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a SEND school or alternative provision.
- Be able to work between the hours of 8:30 until 15:30.
- Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of practitioners who all pull together to inspire in what is a challenging environment.
- Have a DBS on the Update Service or, willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
