Rishworth School is a successful, co-educational boarding and day school located in a beautiful Pennine valley within easy access of Manchester, Oldham, Huddersfied, Halifax and Leeds.

We would like to appoint an experienced Learning Support Assistant to work with pupils who have particular learning needs.  The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate their experience of working with secondary age pupils with a variety of learning support needs.  Experience of supporting pupils with social communication difficulties would be advantageous.  The successful candidate will support pupils in class and run small intervention groups.  The candidate would be expected to get involved with the broader life of this busy boarding and day school.

About Rishworth School

Rishworth School is a mixed, non-denominational, all-through independent day and boarding school situated in Rishworth, West Yorkshire. The school has a Christian ethos but welcomes students from all faiths. There are approximately 450 pupils at Rishworth, between the ages of 3-19.

Rishworth School was established in 1724 by John Wheelwright in a small building, now used as the school’s chapel. The junior school, Heathfield opened in 1951. The school is set around 130 acres of parkland. It is a founder member of the Society of Headmasters for Independent Schools (SHMIS). Rishworth and Heathfield both offer an extensive range of learning facilities and share a swimming pool, performing arts centre and playing fields.
