Osbaldwick Primary Academy is seeking to appoint an experienced teaching assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs.

Within the role you will work under the direction of the class teacher, SENCO or member of the School’s Management Team, undertaking pre-planned work and using your initiative to enable pupils to access learning activity. Working with an individual pupil, you will assist with the assessment and monitoring of their progress, providing feedback to the teacher.

We are looking for someone with drive, determination, positivity, creativity and patience who can ensure the best quality provision we can offer. High expectations are essential, as is the ability and willingness to adapt and change at a moment’s notice. It will be very important to communicate effectively and positively with the other staff, parents and most importantly, the children.

Experience of SEND and/or working 1:1 would be an advantage, but most importantly, you will have the right attitude towards teaching and learning.

The successful candidate will join an enthusiastic and creative team in this happy and forward-thinking primary school on the outskirts of the historic City of York.

This is an amazing opportunity for the right person!

This is an exciting opportunity to join Ebor Academy Trust. The aim of the Trust is to provide an inclusive environment in which children are encouraged to become responsible for themselves, their learning and their behaviour.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We follow safer recruitment practices and appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS check.
