Teaching Assistant - SEND

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for an opportunity in an SEND setting?

ABC Teachers are currently seeking to appoint an experienced Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant for a school located in Solihull. The school caters for students with MLD, Autism and a range of Special Needs, who are of a Primary School age. 

You will be working with students on a 1:1 basis and with small groups, supporting the class teacher with the daily running of lessons and tasks. This is a friendly school environment which is dedicated to making sure that all students receive the education and support that they deserve. 

This role will begin as soon as possible and be on an ongoing basis. We are looking for someone that has had previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs, and students who find the school environment challenging. 

The ideal candidate –

• Strong experience working with SEND 

• Deliver quality assistance to teacher(s) and pupil(s)

• Build rapport with the children

• In date DBS & on the Update Service     

What to do next:

To be considered for this position you will be required to attend a face to face registration and hold an enhanced DBS check in Child and Adult Workforce; you will need to pay for this upfront and add this to the Update Service.  At the registration we will discuss in more detail the work that you are looking for, your experience to date, and also how we are going to work best for you. 

We will need to gain references to cover the last 2 years, and a minimum of 2 references must be a school based. Our compliance team have a rigorous safeguarding and clearance process and this is how we know we are working with the best possible team of staff to employ in our schools.
