The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is experience working with students with special educational needs and challenging behaviour.


Vision for Education for are urgently seeking a Teaching Assistant, who specialises SEND and ideal with Team Teach experience, to work in a Primary setting in the South Gloucester area.


The Role


This role requires a teaching assistant who has experience of supporting young people who have SEND and display challenging behaviour. This is a part-time, long-term role from Monday to Friday, mornings only, each week. Hours of work will be 08.30am to 12.30pm. 


The successful applicant will have had previous experience in supporting individuals on a 1:1 basis and ideally have experience of following EHCP’s.


The School / Setting


Based in South Gloucester this modern, large Primary School which is inclusive having an excellent SEND provision. The team of staff are extremely passionate about providing the highest standard of education and care for their students and this is a value and ethos that the successful candidate will need to also embrace.


Requirements


To be considered for this position you will need to have the following:


• Experience of supporting children who display challenging behaviour


• Moving and handling is highly desirable but this training can be provided free of charge


• Experience of following EHCP’s


• Experience of supporting a vulnerable children or adults


• Previous experience of working on a 1:1 basis is highly desirable


• Be available on a part time basis with immediate effect


• Be flexible and creative in your approach


• Training such as Team Teach are beneficial but not essential
