Salary: Grade 5 £21,968 fte - Actual £16,504.86 per annum.

Newtown Primary School is a school very much at the heart of the local community it serves. It has a long and proud tradition of educating and inspiring the children of west Carlisle. We are seeking to employ a teaching assistant who is experienced in supporting pupils with complex learning needs. We are looking for someone who is creative, imaginative, highly motivated and committed to improving the life chances of children.

The successful candidate will be joining Newtown at an exciting time and be part of our vision of providing an exciting and innovative education for all pupils.

We are looking for someone to join us as soon as possible. Ideally, you will be an experienced TA willing who has had experience of work with a wide range of pupils who have complex learning needs.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a good communicator committed to being part of an effective support team within the whole school community
  • Set high expectations and have a commitment to supporting learners to achieve well
  • Be self-motivated, adaptable and reliable
  • Have experience of working across a range of ages and abilities
  • Have experience of working with young children with SEND/SEMH needs.
