Teaching Assistant

Preferably level 2 or 3 NVQ or working towards level 3 NVQ

1 full time position or 2 x part time positions

30 hours, permanent position

Grade 15 (Term time only), Grade 15, £20,812 – £21,189 FTE

Commencing: as soon as possible

We are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to contribute to raising standards of pupils’ achievement; to join our hard-working, dedicated team and to have an interest or experience in Early Years, or intervention.

The successful candidate will:

• Preferably have a Level 2, 3 or working towards level 3 NVQ in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools and/or have previous experience of working with children.
• Have an enthusiastic and positive outlook to team working and developing successful outcomes for all children.
• Be aware of phonics and be willing to teach a small group using Read Write Inc.
• Have experience of working one-to-one or with small groups of pupils who need additional help and support.
• Support assessment for learning and assist others to help children achieve their full potential.
• Promote children’s positive behaviour, equality, diversity and inclusion.
• Have good behaviour management skills and maintain a high level of professionalism, resilience and be self-motivated.
• Have a good level of English, Maths and Computing Skills.
• Engage in continuous professional development.
